Analysis of national-level risks

The Swiss ‘risk landscape’

The national hazard analysis provides an image of the Swiss ‘risk landscape’. It can serve as a basis for more in-depth work in various areas.

The scenarios judged to be of relevance for the national level (or rather the corresponding risk assessments) are presented comparatively as part of a risk matrix. The method for doing so is in line with the established principles of risk analysis and will be further substantiated in the course of their development.

From hazard catalog to risk assessment

The hazards from the catalog that are assessed as relevant in the course of the ‘Risks Switzerland’ study are further described and documented using a risk file. Theserisk fileswill be created by experts selected from the federal administration or the project organization and reviewed by further experts in a second step. The baseline scenarios are then made available to interested users and are accessible to the general public. Finally, the hazards judged to be of relevance for the national level and the corresponding risk assessments are presented comparatively in the national hazard analysis.
